Charice sings “New World”, the Official Theme Song of the upcoming Playstation 3 game, Final Fantasy XIII-2 by Square Enix. Never imagined a Filipino will sing the theme song of one of my favorite game.

In other FF13-2 news, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have DLC or downloadable content in the future. (FF13 does not have DLC)

I also remember my favorite band Wolfgang having a track in the Asian version of the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Movie Soundtrack, titled “No Falter”, watch the video below:

Sony Philippines is official launching the Playstation 3 (PS3) and Playstation Portable (PSP) here in the Philippines. The event will be held at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati on March 27-28. You can also win a new PS3 or PSP.

On February 28, 2010, many thought this is the end of their Playstation 3′s (many called this event ApocalyPS3), because many of the original PS3′s (PS3 Fat or non-slim) was affected by a bug on the internal system clock which was like doomsday to many hardcore gamers who cannot go online and cannot play their PS3′s. The root of the problem was the consoles clock was reset to December 31, 1999.

8001050F was the code most of the users encountered and most users were unable to sign in to Playstation Network, play games, use dynamic themes and sync trophies. On March 1, Sony stated that the affected models incorrectly identified 2010 as a leap year was already fixed.

Based from this Asia Playstation site, the Playstation 3 and PSP will be available on March 26, no other details are given. I can only assume that Sony Philippines will now be officially selling the Playstation 3 and PSP in their stores, for how much? Based on Sony prices on their other electronic items, there is a very big discrepancy between items sold here vs in other countries. But at least there will be an option on whee to repair your Playstation Gadgets in case it cannot be repaired by other stores.

Another assumption is that you can now register Philippines as a country in the Playstation Network, this means local credit cards should be accepted and no more buying of PSN cards unless they also release PSN cards for the Philippines only.
